Hickinbotham, director of Makeover
Marketing, has been active in the field of business
communications for over 23 years. His clients have ranged
from the small business sector through to State
Government, and all points in
between.
From producing
corporate and education videos for public sector clients
including the National Gallery of Victoria and the Office
of Consumer Affairs, TV commercials for retail
clients, through to marketing design for ad agencies, and
a diverse array of private
clients.
Andrew’s business
development skills were honed during employment with
Westpac, OnQ Business Systems, and Hudson Global
Resources, for which he won awards for
excellence.
However, given the
often meagre ROI generated for most businesses from
traditional advertising, Andrew’s brief now is to show
business owners how to grow their marketing reach by
extending their marketing
dollar.
He does this by

With regards to
the press, writing editorials, media releases,
and contributing a lively monthly marketing column for Metro
News have all been fun. Beyond this, he has staged and
presented at events including seminars and business
launches.
On the personal
front, Andrew is married to Jill, a lecturer at the
Swinburne School of Film and Television, and he has
teenage boys.
Personal interests
include maintaining peak health and fitness via gym,
swimming, meditation, nutrition, and the field
of human potential. Downtime is consumed by music, cinema,
internet, motorbikes and
travel.
